The Aim of the Weekend
As with each of our past retreats, we're looking forward to another memorable opportunity to spend time together that is not normally possible. Long overdue, this weekend will help us to connect better with one another and the Lord.
Rather than having a guest speaker and teaching sessions, we will focus on creating opportunities, opening spaces for deeper connection, organised around "connection sessions", extended free time and times of food, fellowship and fun.

Sharing Grace in Community
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. That is why it says "When He ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people." (Ephesians 4:7-8)
Ephesians 4:3 encourages us to "make every effort" to keep the unity of the Spirit. In verses 7-8, Paul associates Christ's ascension with a release of grace in the community of believers, reminding us that we have all been given gifts to build one another up. What better time than Ascension Weekend to engage with each other on a deeper level and share our areas of gifting in order to bless one another.
Sharing grace is not just about a defined list of "Spiritual gifts" but helping one another to experience God's grace and presence in new ways, based on our unique journey and experience. During this weekend we will not pursue a lecture-style transfer of knowledge, but rather to get to know the Lord better through one another. Please join us for this amazing opportunity to share grace in community!
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." (1 Peter 4: 10)
