Our pastor, Derek Frank, was born in Bristol, England and gained degrees in civil engineering and business studies before beginning a commercial career.
He was called to full-time pastoral ministry in his mid-thirties, initially for two years in an area of high deprivation, and then for six years on the staff of a joint Anglican-Baptist church, which was also one of England's largest churches.
He then moved to Switzerland in 1993 to oversee the English-speaking church in Vevey, and its daughter churches in Chateaux-d'Oex and Villars, after which he joined the Evangelical Baptist Church of Geneva in 2002.
Derek is married to Françoise, who is French and is a practising nurse, and they have two adult daughters. His spare-time interests are skiing, bricolage, driving his 55 year old car and walking the dog. He has also written two books "Tough Questions about Healing" and "The Jeremiah Diagnosis".
